Amanda Lopez CaliLOVE

Our Challenge:
Produce a highly attended opening reception to introduce the public to “CaliLOVE,” photographer Amanda Lopez’s latest collection of work.

Our Solution:
The overall goal was simple: get people in the doors and let the art speak for itself. In order to make this event to be a success Unseen Heroes raised mass public-awareness, while generating measureable levels of buzz. Utilizing both traditional and new media outlets, we reached out to all of our contacts to spread the word. We built anticipation for the event by creating an exclusive VIP list and personally inviting key figures in the city to attend. Utilizing the Upper Playground artist showroom, the black and white photos were displayed in such a way as to allow observers to focus, without distraction, on the details of the art. The event also embraced the display’s “Día De Los Muertos” theme by featuring authentic food and music.

Their Results:
-Attracted over 400 people from Sacramento, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
-Established public awareness through traditional and new media outlets as newspapers, magazines, blogs, message boards, and social media.
-Mentioned on numerous national sites afterward.
-Well-received regionally and replicated in San Francisco.
