Bicycle Film Festival 2011
Our Challenge:
To produce Sacramento’s second annual Bicycle Film Festival and enhance the success achieved in its first year by building interactive events around the films to diversify and expand the festival’s audience.
Our Solution:
Connect with innovators in the local bicycle community, involve local bicycle affiliates, and reach out to high-end partners to improve the 2011 festival experience. First, we enlisted the newly renovated Crocker Art Museum to host the opening night gala. Then, we added an after party at Sol Collective, hosted by Redbull, savage sprint races, hosted at Hot Italian, and an epic trick event powered by PedalHard to round out the weekend. All events were made free to the public to increase overall foot traffic.
Their Results:
-Increased daily festival attendance by 50%.
-Diversified age and gender demographics by appealing to different bicycle sub-cultures.
-Received both local and national news, radio, magazine, newspaper, and blog coverage.
-Wrap-up videos received over 30,000 impressions.
